Since joining CHS Hedging in 2014, Joe Lardy has provided focused market intelligence and insight with the goal of helping farmers and commercial businesses achieve their financial goals. Lardy analyzes a broad range of data that could potentially affect commodity markets; provides forecasts and commentary for government-issued reports; and provides insights to help customers make hedging decisions.
For 14 years, Lardy worked for Cargill, Minnetonka, Minn., where he was a senior commodity marketer and trader, responsible for developing trading strategies and marketing commodity insights for hedge fund customers. He also worked as a fund accountant for American Express for four years. Lardy holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and economics from the University of St. Thomas, St. Paul, Minn.
